* Britta's Cafe began in 1987, when then twenty-five year old Britta Kvinge Pulliam decided to turn her lifelong dream into a reality. She purchased an old ice cream parlor in the heart of Balboa Village, on the Newport Beach peninsula, and quickly went to work creating her vision. With the help of family and friends, Britta's Cafe opened on October 12, 1987 serving Breakfast, Lunch,
and Dinner. Over the next fourteen years, Britta's has established itself as a destination for epicurean indulgence by combining elegance with familiar comfort.
* Britta's innovative cuisine celebrates the changing seasons and local bounty. Dedicated to using only the finest and freshest ingredients, the menus are both inspired and dictated by nature. Therefore, Lunch and Dinner menus are re-developed about six times a year. The Breakfast menu remains traditional, but always accented with seasonal additions and celebratory specialties.
* Britta's also bakes their own pastries and desserts as well as three kinds of fresh breads daily. You are sure to find towering Coconut, Carrot, and Chocolate cakes on our dess*Respect for community and small business has lent itself to influence the way Britta's operates. * Britta Pulliam's personal affinity for fine wines as well as an understanding of how wine can both entertain the palette and complement cuisine has greatly affected the development of the Cafe's wine collection.
